I paint a dimension of life that I perceive and don’t know how to express otherwise.
It is not that I have visions which I then capture in painting. No, my perception opens through the painting process. Like a dancer lost in the bliss of movement, I become absorbed into an a world that feels deeply intimate—simultaneously personal and universal.
My work is naturally influenced by my ancestral roots: my Vietnamese, East Asian, Eastern European, and Jewish heritages. These lineages are in my bones and take form through in all my bodily expressions.
I am committed to being and becoming a clear vessel of ancient beauty that has been lost and suppressed. At the same time, my work speaks about the future. It belongs in the world we are rapidly evolving towards.
